Jadavpur University PG Admission 2016 Application Form

Candidates are advised to download the Information Brochure and Pay -in-Slip of State Bank of India to deposit Application Fee. Application fee of Rs.500/- for each course of study is to be deposited through any branch of State Bank of India by filling up the downloaded Pay-in-slip. The Journal Number must be legible in the pay-in-slip, and to be used in the Form & other references. The applicants are requested to keep the counterfoil of the deposit slip for future reference. Candidates should carefully read the instructions given in the Information Brochure before filling up the Application Form. Incomplete application forms are liable to be cancelled.
 
Candidates (passed / appeared or due to appear) are instructed to subm it all their self-attested m ark-sheets and GATE/GPAT card copies through SCAN while filling their ONLINE Application Form /s and bring all Original Sem ester mark-sheet and GATE/GPAT Card at the time of verification of docum ents / Admission Test.
Print out of System Generated Online Application Form duly signed by the candidate along with application part of Pay-in-slip duly received by the Bank and one self attested copies of all m ark-sheet of the last qualifying exam ination and GATE Card m ust reach the following address on or before 13t h M ay, 2016 by speed post:

Instruction Before filling the Application Form

  1. Register with the system for the selected notification
    • Click the “Register” link. A registration form will appear. Provide correct information in the registration form. Supplied Information will be printed in your application form.
    • Press “Validate” button. “Proceed” button will be activated now for correct inputs in each field. You will get proper message if there is any mismatch.
    • Submission of registration form, duly filled-in, will generate your Registration Number. Use this registration number as USERID during login into the system. Registration process will be completed after you provide your password.
    • Remember the Registration Number as UserId and Password provided by youfor future reference.

  3. Login with above UserId ( Your Registration Number) and password (provided by you)
  4. Five Headings will appear:
    • Information Brochure
    • User Information
    • Personal information:Enter and modify the information in application form. Use ‘Update’ button to store your information. Note: All the options should be properly checked, fields should not be left blank. Selection of Course should be unique.
    • Upload Photo: Upload your recent photograph in jpeg(.jpg) format with the following specifications: Size: 200 pixel X 200 pixel,Color Mode: RGB, Resolution: 300 pixels/inch, File format: .jpg, File size: not more than 250 kb
    • Select Courses: Select the course you want to apply. You can select multiple courses (go through”Information Brochure”). Select the category in wich you are interested to apply. If there is no category mentioned in the brochure, select “Self Sponsored”. Steps:
      1) Select the courses you want to apply and Select categories.
      2) Once you sure that you will not modify the courses or categories select the ‘Finalise Selection of Courses’ option and click Update button. Once you finalise ‘Selection of Courses’, system will not allow you to modify the submitted information regarding Course or Category.
      3) Now, specialisations of the courses(if any) you can select. Click on “Select” link to set your preferrences for the specialisations. Link will not be activated if there is no specialisation.
    • Payment Details: Print the Pay-in-Slip for each course you are applying. Use ‘Update’ button to store your information. Deposit fee at any branch of the designated Bank. Again login into online System. Enter Journal details from the Pay-in-Slip against each course. Again use ‘Update’ button to store your information. Before final submition of form ensure that you have provided journal details for each course. Course without Journal information will not be considered. Any other mode of payment is not acceptable.
    • Submit Application : If you are sure that all the necessary information have been provided by you in the application form you may submit your application to get the print version of your application forms. Under this menu in the second level you will get the preview copies of the application forms. Sumit application only when you are satisfied with the preview. Otherwise modify the information and repeat the steps again.
      Note:(i) Once you submit the application, you will not be able to modify or enter further information in your application.
      (ii) Also note that manual modification of printed information in the hardcopy of the application form may lead towards rejection of the application form.
      (iii) Submit only when you are very much sure.
  5. Application form:  This link will allow you to open your application forms after you submit the Application. List of aplication forms will be generated. Do the following operations
    • Print the application Forms
    •  Put signatures on printed copies of the Application Form(s)
    •  Get signature of your guardian
    • Send the application forms in hardcopy along with the “Application Copy” of the Pay-in-Slip to the address given in the Information Brochure.
    • Keep a photocopy of your application form for future reference (if needed).
  6. Application status:  You can check your application status
    • Whether Jadavpur University has received your application or not.
    • Whether you are allowed to appear in the interview and/or admission test as scheduled.
    • You will get the admit card(s)(if issued) from this link.
