Pondicherry Biotech is a startupBiotechnology company seeking a talented plant molecular biologist with strong interest in cutting-edge genome editing technologies for a scientist position.
Project: Targeted genome engineering in plants for trait improvements
Duration: The appointment will be initially one year and can be extendable based on his/her performance
Salary: Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualification: PhD in Plant molecular biology (Candidates who have submitted their thesis can also apply)
Experience:
- Strong work experience in molecular cloning and transformation in rice, Jatropha and other plants (Agrobacterium or biolistic) is mandatory
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently with minimal supervision and cooperatively with others
- Capacity and interest in learning new concepts and techniques, including genome editing based techniques; skill in both verbal and written communication in English; computer literacy and in managing
