Job Description:Responsibilities:1. Manage a team of five or more system administrators and software engineers: providing mentoring, task scheduling, and other management support, as well as providing technical leadership.
2. Collaborate with the wider Internet Operations and Engineering team to develop new solutions, best practices, and configurations.
3. Collaborate with Time Inc.'s application development teams on the design and building of new applications or sites as well as updates and improvements to existing solutions.
4. Manage the availability of a suite of applications and sites, ensuring the highest possible level of service and guiding the team to support that goal.
5. Build an effective global team of both local and remote employees to provide a well-integrated team as well as a "follow the sun" support model.
Candidates Profile:
Desired Skills and Experience:1. BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

2. 6+ years’ experience operating in a web-centric environment, providing highly scalable web properties and services.
3. 6+ years of Linux (RHEL / CentOS) system administration experience including any of: DNS (bind), Apache, Tomcat, Varnish.
4. Experience leading and managing a team of systems administrators or systems engineers, preferably a global team as a single, integrated unit.
