Job Description:
Applications are invited for one position of Project Scientist under the DST-SERB sponsored project entitled "Double Perovskite based Oxide Materials for Thermoelectric Applications'. Maximum one position will be filled according to the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Minimum Qualifications:1. For Project Scientist: PhD or M.Sc. + 3 years experience
2. Desired Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics/ Materials Science/ Metallurgy/ Ceramics/ Electrical Engineering from reputed university or institute
Candidate Profile:Experience/ Higher Qualification:1. Strong background in Oxide electronics and Electronic materials.
2. Knowledge of Rietveld refinement of crystal structure using XRD data.
3. Expertise on structural and microstructural characterization techniques like XRD, SEM, TEM.
4. Hands-on experience in measurement of basic magnetic, electrical properties like dielectric permittivity, conductivity, impedance and piezoelectric/ ferroelectric/ magnetoelectric behavior of materials.
5. The candidate is expected to be self-driven for conducting research and publishing his/her work in high quality scientific journals and conferences.
6. The candidate should have demonstrated verbal and writing skills in communicating results of his/her own research.
7. Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
8. Salary range: INR. 22000-2200-44000 (consolidated) The position is temporary and for three months; based on the satisfactory performance it will be renewed for 1 year.
