Job Description:Responsibilities :1. Focus primarily on direct account management to deliver revenue and/or acquisition goals through management of inventory, rates and supplier relations and negotiation of best inventory and most strategically competitive rates in assigned market. Secure inventory through on-going account management during acquisition and renewal
2. May manage Market Associates
3. Involvement in cross functional Expedia business initiatives - understand deliverables and implications on market, while providing input on opportunities for improvement and effective roll out; partner with internal teams through initiation and planning of initiatives to proactively anticipate market impact
4. Provide ongoing input to the Director of the group in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve process efficiencies
5. Negotiate and secure market deals, promotions and dynamic rate rules. Coordinate with Point of Sale (POS) to leverage merchandising opportunities and offerings
Candidate Profile:Required Skills & Experience :
1. Undergraduate degree in hospitality management; MBA preferred
2. 4-6 years of hospitality industry experience with people management and revenue responsibilities. Should have demonstrated the ability to motivate, coach and mentor a diverse and geographically fragmented team, to achieve set goals
3. Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking skills, including demonstrated general problem-solving skills and an intense curiosity to identify trends and ensuing business needs.
4. Possess ability to develop and present relevant and insightful analysis including performance analysis, market analysis and competitor analysis, and implement meaningful action plans based on the analysis
5. Strong project management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and to meet deadlines
