Ordnance Factory Chanda was established in the year 1964. The Indian Ordnance Factories is an authorized organization working under the Government Of India. It is directly under the control of Ministry Of Defense. Its first production started from 1970. OF Chanda was designed as Medium and High Caliber Ammunition Manufacturing Unit. It has all the necessary equipment for production of Explosives and Non Explosive components. It produces things such as Initiator, Primer, Cap, Fuse, Paper Components & Packages etc.
