The CSIR UGC NET Exam consists of the following features :
- Total Duration of the exam is 3 Hours.
- The NET exam is of Objective type i.e Multiple Choice Questions.
- There will be 3 parts in the exam.
- Part A is common for all the disciplines.
- Part B & Part C are related to the discipline chosen by the candidate.
- Part A consists of 20 questions related to General Science, Candidates have to attempt 15 questions each carrying 2 marks.
- Part B consists of Core part of the chosen subject.
- Part C consists of the Advanced part of the chosen subject.
- The UGC NET is conducted for a total of 200 marks.
- There will be a negative marking up to 25% for each wrong answer.
