The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. Research investigations at CRI currently focus on molecular mechanisms responsible for causation of major human cancers relevant to India. It is envisaged that in the future, ACTREC will play a greater role in drug development and emerging therapies for treatment and prevention of cancer.
Position: Sr. Research Fellow
Title of the Project: Understanding the cross-talk between mesenchymal stromal cells and leukemic stem cells in Acute Myeloid Leukemia: Implications in disease biology and therapy.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- M. Sc. (Life Sciences, Biological sciences or Biotechnology) OR M.Tech (Biotechnology) with at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination. The candidate should have qualified CSIR-NET or equivalent examination of ICMR/DBT/UGC/ GATE/ DST-Inspire. Candidates should have two years research experience. Candidates having experience of Stem cells, Flow Cytometry and/or Cell culture will be preferred.
- M.Sc. degree obtained after a one year course will not be considered.
Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest.
Salary: Rs.36,400/- (Rs.28000/- + 30% HRA)
The work progress of the candidate will be monitored and extension after 6 months will depend on satisfactory progress of the work.

Interview details:
The interviews would be held on 10-12-2015 and only pre-registered candidates will be eligible to appear for interview. Candidates should report between 09.30 to 10.00 a.m. in Steno Pool, 3rd floor, Khanolkar Shodhika, ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
At the time of Interview the candidate should bring original certificates along with CV with contact details of 2 referees and submit the photocopies (attested) of the certificates, with a recent passport size photograph.
