Walk in interview for the posts of SRFs and FA (Unreserved) 

Two posts of Senior Research Fellow and one post of field assistant are available in the Division of Genetics in the DBT funded project purely on contractual basis (as indicated below). The interview will be held on 2 nd January 2016 at 10.00AM at Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110 012. 

Post-1: Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in DBT Project

 “Maintenance,Characterizati on and use of EMS mutants of Upland Variety Nagina 22 for Functional Genomics in RicePhase –II ” 1 Post- Division of Genetics. 1 Post- Division of Plant Physiology. 

No. of posts: Two

Emoluments (Fixed per month) : (As per DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-09/2012 Dated 21/10/2014) Rs. 25,000 + 30% HRA. Or Rs 28,000+ 30% HRA with 2 years experience.

Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic science (Life Sciences) with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (Life Science).

Desirable: Experience in field phenotyping, techniques in molecular and plant physiological analysis of rice.

Post- 2:Field / Technical Assistant in the above DBT Project

Emoluments (Fixed per month): Rs. 10,998/-per month consolidated

Essential qualification: 

• Essential: High School or Equivalent
• Desirable: Experience in field and lab work in rice crop

Terms & Conditions

• Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF and 30 years for Field Assistant (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC)
• The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to November 2016, or till the termination of the project which-ever is earlier. 
• The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
• The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 2 nd Jan 2016 (for posts at S. No. 1-2)
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 
• Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview. (ix) Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination. 
• The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of interview as per the format annexed along with the declaration 
• The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by 29 th December, 2015. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
