The Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation, a pioneer in Warehousing field, was established in December, 1957 under the Agricultural produce (Development and Warehousing) corporation Act, 1956, which Act was repealed and replaced by the Warehousing Corporations Act, 1962. This Corporation commenced its activities with effect from 2.5.1958. The Central Warehousing Corporation, New Delhi and the Government of Tamil Nadu are the equal shareholders of the Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation.

Position available: Assistant/ Deputy Warehouse Manager

Number of vacancies : 77 (Seventy seven)

Scale of Pay : Rs.5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800/-

Qualifications:

• A Degree in Agriculture or in Science of any recognized University with Chemistry/Zoology or Botany as main subject. (Those who studied +2 in the Higher Secondary Schools + Degree are only eligible. Those who obtained Degree through open University without passing of +2 in the Higher Secondary Schools are not eligible to apply).
• Experience for a period of not less than two years in the category of Assistant in any Government Department/Public/Private Sector Undertakings.
• Typewriting English (Lower) and working knowledge of Warehouse.

Age Limit (as on 13.11.2015):

• 30 years in the case of Other Communities
• 32 years in the case of Most Backward Classes/Denotified Communities/ Backward Classes.
• 35 Years in the case of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes.
