Job Description:Qualifications and Key Skills: 1. Broad understanding of state-of-the-art data mining algorithms and approaches
2. Hands-on experience in applying data mining algorithms to real-world problems
3. 3-5 years of experience working with large data sets and generating quick insights, especially, ability to quickly apply data cleaning, mining and visualization approaches on real data sets.
4. Extensive understanding and experience in leveraging Web Services (e.g. REST, SOAP, etc.) technologies
5. Extensive understanding and experience with Java/J2EE , Apache Spark and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Awk etc.
6. Extensive understanding and experience in programming database: MySQL or SQL Server or Oracle. And knowledge of NoSQL and Graph databases would be a definite plus.
7. Familiarity with semantic data mining, ontologies and related concepts is desirable
8. Familiarity with data mining tools, e.g., Weka and statistical tools such as R a plus
9. Familiarity with information visualization tools for large data sets a plus
1 0. Master degree (or Bachelor degree with equivalent experience) in EE/CS or equivalent discipline
11. Team player with excellent communication abilities
