Title of Project : Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRUS) in the State of Maharashtra under the Scheme of “Development of Infrastructure for Promotion of Health Research” to be posted at Sub District Hospital, Dahanu Dist. Palghar.

Job Title-Scientist ‘C’ (Non-Medical)

Eligiblity : First Class Master’s degree inMicrobiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Sciences subjects from a recognized university with 4 years R&D/teaching experience in the above subjects after 1st Class Master Degree. OR Second ClassM.Sc. + Ph.D. degree in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology subjects from a recognized university with 4 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc. + Ph.D.

Maximum age : Not exceeding 40 years

Consolidated salary :Rs. 55,000/- p.m.

Duration: Initially for one year.

Desirable candidates:

• a. Additional Postdoctoral research / teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized Institute(s).
• b. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• c. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Reproductive Biology

Detailed Instructions:

• 1. Age relaxation for SC/ST up to 5 years and 3 years for OBC. PWD/Ex-Serviceman candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel & Training from time to time in this regard. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC communities will have to furnish certificate from prescribed authority in the required format failing which they will not be entitled to the concession admissible to them if any.
• 2. Age will be reckoned on the last date of online application.
• 3. Qualification/degree should be from a reputed Institution/University.
• 4. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
• 5. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
• 6. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
• 7. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible.
• 8. Separate application form should be submitted for each post along with application fee by Demand Draft (DD)/Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in favor of Director, NIRRH, payable at Mumbai. SC/ST, Physically Handicapped (PH) and women candidates are exempted from the application fee. Demand Draft (DD)/IPOs are payable by all other candidates including ICMR employees.
