About the Institute:
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati, is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.
The Institute invites applications for the following Faculty positions in the Departments of Biology and Mathematics from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic record and relevant work experience, who would like to be associated with the academic and research activities of the Institute purely on deputation/contractual basis.
(i) Post 1: Assistant Professor
Scale of Pay:
For Deputationists: PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- with Academic Grade Pay (AGP)of Rs. 8000/- p.m. at minimum Pay in Pay Band of Rs. 30000/- plus AGP Rs. 8000/-.
Qualification: Ph.D. in Biology with First class or equivalent in the appropriate branch. The candidate must have been awarded a PhD degree on or before the last date of application.
Desirable: 3 or more years of post-PhD research experience is desirable.
(ii) Post 2: Associate Professor
Scale of Pay:
For Deputationists: PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000/- with Academic Grade Pay (AGP)of Rs. 9500/- p.m. at minimum Pay in Pay Band of Rs. 42,800/- plus AGP Rs. 9500/- .
Qualification: Ph.D. in Biology with First class or equivalent in the appropriate branch. The candidate must have been awarded a PhD degree on or before the last date of application.
Experience: At least 6 years’ research/teaching experience, excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D, of which at least three years should be at the level equivalent to an Assistant Professor.
